The Apparatus Censer incense burner is worth worshipping

Up in smoke

From the studio of Apparatus in New York comes Censer (US$820, RM3,300), so beautifully crafted from hand-cast porcelain and waxed brass that it’s closer to a chalice than an incense burner. Should you wish to scent your living space immediately, the censer comes with 120 sticks of Cinnamon Projects incense just waiting to be set alight – all you have to do is let the perfumed smoke drift gently from the top of its white dome. It also serves as a candleholder: it takes one tea light to turn the censer into a brass torch with a soft, mesmerising glow.
