The just-launched Ferrari Portofino (RM948,000 before duties) is yet another ground-breaking jewel from the stable of the Prancing Horse. The new front-mounted turbocharged 3.9-litre engine kicks out 591bhp, making the Portofino the most powerful GT convertible Ferrari have ever produced, and sends it from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds.

The Portofino finds an extra 39bhp over its predecessor, the California T and, thanks to its lightweight chassis, has also shed 80kg by comparison. It is the first of Ferrari’s grand tourers to be fitted with electric power steering. With its retractable hard-top and fully appointed interior, the Portofino is another fine Maranello blend of sporting elegance and comfort.

Ferrari
