How does Hennessy Paradis Impérial taste?

the art of taste

In a series of videos, Hennessy details the creation of Hennessy Paradis Impérial, the latest creation by Master Blender Yann Fillioux to join Hennessy’s permanent collection. An unprecedented alliance of age and finesse brought into existence by the Master Blender’s exceptional precision, the Paradis Impérial encapsulates the distinctive art and relentless quest for the finest eaux-de-vie throughout seven generations of Master Blenders from the Fillioux family. In the second of five videos, Scottish actor Iain Glen details exactly what Hennessy Paradis Impérial tastes like.

On the palate, it starts with a fine, light structure, tinged with a smokey accent and an extremely delicate texture, leading to a subtle yet persistent finish.

Never has a blend of eaux-de-vies of this age exhibited such a light golden color, such soft celadon reflections. Those nuances could only be obtained and preserved with a maturation in very old casks containing low levels of tannins. The vibrancy of Hennessy Paradis Impérial hue foretells the freshness of its bouquet. Its floral notes evoke a pure, crisp spring day. With every sip, essences of orange flower and jasmine blend in a subtle, swirling foundation of smoke and subtle spices. To the last drop, flavours combined with an ethereal grace last paradoxically throughout the palate. Uncommon emotions indeed.
