Rare and Exciting Breguet Watches Thrilled and Tantalised Collectors At Hilton Kota Kinabalu

The Hilton Kota Kinabalu’s swanky Club Bar—designed to recall a gentleman’s bar and lounge from a bygone era—became the setting for a one-night-only showcase of Breguet’s scintillating horology. Guests of both Cortina Watch and Robb Report Malaysia showed up and were regaled by tales from this bastion of horology, which has counted Napoleon Bonaparte and Winston Churchill among its clients. Among the timepiece stars on display were the Asian dial version of the Breguet Classsique Hora Mundi 5717 encased in platinum, the Classique Grand Feu Blue Enamel dial 5177 in white gold case, and a Marine trio comprising Marine 5517 in rose gold, Marine Chronograph 5527 in rose gold and Marine Alarme Musicale 5547 in titanium.

Here, in the swish private room of the Club Bar, a charcuterie and cheese board was elegantly assembled for guests, paired with champagne, French wine and delicious drams of Scotch originating from the AD Rattray’s portfolio consisting of the “reimagined” Stronachie 10 Years, Royal Brackla 8 Years and Miltonduff 34 Years. To heighten the night’s appreciation, guests were also offered a range of Cuban cigars spanning through Cohiba, Ramon Allones, H. Upmann and Romeo y Julieta.
