A night of high spirits, horology and fun dining

Recently, guests and readers of Robb Report Malaysia were treated to a spectacular evening of gastronomy and cognac appreciation. Illuminating the dining table was chef Jeff Ramsey of Babe, whose inventive Japas (a portmanteau of Japanese and tapas) was savoured across 14 courses by guests.

Lionel Lau, no stranger to the wine and spirits scene, explained the magical combination of Ramsey’s designs with a stellar showing of Martell’s Cordon Bleu, XO and Creation Grand Extra. The evening’s shimmer was immeasurably brightened by the presence of the Jaeger-LeCoultre’s timepieces, in a parade which included the stunning ladies’ Rendez-vous Celestial Moon in white gold (RM161,000), the technically outstanding Duometre Quantieme Lumaire (beautifully encased in pink gold (RM143,000) and the gem-set Reverso Duetto Classique (RM169,000). The evening then segued into cigars, paired with the unforgettable delight of Martell cognacs.
