An evening of connoisseurship with Robb Report Malaysia

On a balmy Friday evening, Robb Report Malaysia’s readers from Penang as well as RHB Premier Banking Customers were treated to an Evening of Connoisseurship. Guests congregated at Royal Selangor’s Visitor Centre at the Straits Quay Marina Mall, to enjoy a smorgasbord of champagne before being ushered onto Simpson Marine’s catamarans; the Lagoon 620 motor yacht and Special Edition Imagine 560.

They were then brought out on a sea trial and enjoyed tastings of Domaine Geantet-Pansiot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 2012  and Francois Villard Saint-Joseph Reflet 2009 with sommeliers from Sarment Wines before returning to shore. At Spasso Milano, guests viewed an exciting collection of fabric and men’s fashion from Uomo Collezioni with their JM Icon range, and savoured a rose and red from Sarment Wines. This was followed by dinner and a special presentation of Royal Salute’s 38-year-old Stone of Destiny, an exquisite aged Scotch. The evening segued into cigars from FWC Connoisseurs, with Partagas, Cohibas and Trinidads entering the fray.
