Drinks with a view

Robb Report Malaysia recently hosted its readers in Penang to an intimate viewing of Montblanc’s Heritage Chronometrie Collection. This range, dedicated to precision timekeeping, comprises – among others – ultra slim, dual time and the spectacular exotourbillon variants.

At the newly opened Wine & Cigar lounge located at the Automall Maritime Piazza, guests also indulged in the finer aspects of single-malt whisky appreciation. In attendance was The Balvenie’s regional whisky ambassador Neil Strachan who offered a tasting of The Balvenie’s delicious range. Guests nosed and savoured the complexities of the 12-year-old DoubleWood, the 14-year-old Caribbean Cask, the 17-year-old DoubleWood and the flagship 21-Year-Old Portwood, redolent with floral honey, an edge of white grape and a mouthful of raisins before tailing off with a cocoa finish. This tasting was followed up with a round of fine Cuban cigars, the perfect companion to a relaxing evening by the sea.
