The world’s best female golfers at the Sime Darby LPGA

Glamour in pink

At the traditional curtain-raising event to the Sime Darby LPGA, the best female golfers in the world turned up with a touch of pink, to support Cancer Research Malaysia. This on-going initiative by the Sime Darby LPGA has raised funds and awareness for the research organisation’s efforts.

Among the bright stars in the constellation of world-class talents were world number one Lydia Ko of New Zealand who was joined by Michelle Wie, Brooke Henderson, Ariya Jutanugam, Cheyenne Woods, Anna Nordqvist, Brittany Lang, Ha Na Jang, Amy Yang, Stacy Lewis, So Yeon Ryu, Haru Nomura and last year’s winner and defending champion of the Sime Darby LPGA, Jessica Korda.

This year represents the 7th edition of the Sime Darby LPGA, widely recognised by players as one of the best in the tour. The tournament tees off on Thursday, 27 th of October on the PGA tour-affiliated golf course network, the Tournament Players Club (TPC) KL. Eight Malaysian golfers are also included in the list of players vying for the championship in this US$1.8 million tournament.
