If it’s good enough for Jay-Z, well, then it should be good enough for anyone. Armand de Brignac – or the Ace of Spades Champagne – has introduced its latest release, the Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs en Magnum. Extremely coveted and quite, quite rare, the Blanc de Blancs en Magnum was created by annexing a small quantity of the Blanc de Blancs assemblage of the 2005, 2006 and 2008 vintages – crafted from 100% Chardonnay – and diverting them into the larger Magnum bottles.

Spending seven years on lees in the cellars in Champagne before being disgorged May 25, 2016, the Champagne was then afforded another 22 months on cork for additional maturation and integration. The result is a cuvée of great complexity and depth. Armand de Brignac recommends pairing it with that other symbol of luxe dining – freshly shucked French oysters – that highlights baked pastry, honey, orange blossom and almonds. Less than a thousand bottles were produced, and the main man of hip-hop, Mr. Jay-Z, no doubt has nabbed quite a few of them already.
