The secret lies in a complex traditional method called methode champenoise, in which the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle, explains Thomas Lignier, Perrier-Jouet’s brand ambassador. “Its lengthy process and long aging in the bottle is what makes it so truly unique, with the wine attaining complexities in aroma.”
