Something’s coming, something good…. the Hennessy X.O Odyssey

By Sam Yen | October 31, 2016

A taste of things to come

Prepare your palate for a feast of tastes and senses. The House of Hennessy promises an epicurean epic when the Hennessy X.O Odyssey culinary event begins on October 31, 2016. Held at Enfin by James Won, the Hennessy X.O Odyssey will kick off a series of exclusive dinners by invite only held until November 5, 2016, with a menu that celebrates the essence of Hennessy X.O and its seven tasting notes. The cognac pairing menu will then be made available to the public from November 7 to November 30, 2016, at RM999++ per person.

Helming the project with be Malaysia’s very own chef James Won, celebrated for his whimisical yet highly technical approach to cuisine, who collaborates with British chef Nurdin Topham, founder of the Michelin-starred Nur in Hong Kong. The menu will be made up of seven courses, each corresponding to one of the seven notes of Hennessy X.O. The composition of the courses is still a secret – chefs James and Nurdin will only reveal that it will celebrate local Malaysian ingredients, specifically from the state of Sabah. Watch this space, though, as Robb Report Malaysia reveals this gastronomic odyssey, course by course, next week.
