Desert Treasure

A deep empathy for Islamic art and a desire to merge traditional craft with a contemporary aesthetic led award-winning Welsh designer Bethan Gray into a collaboration with the masterful Iranian artist, Mohamad Reza Shamsian. The result: the exquisite Shamsian 2×2 Door Cabinet (£10,500/RM57,503), characterised by its exquisite inlaying and overlaying of solid brass and paua shell into coloured solid wood and maple veneer. The ombre on the cabinet is created by hand using a technique called stain shading, with a variety of colour options available including jade, monochrome, teal, pink birds-eye, white birds-eye, and charcoal.
