Three years later, he upped the ante with a 3,100-square-foot penthouse, reportedly paying US$7 million for what was then the most expensive apartment ever sold in the city. For all his globe-trotting, Ronaldo keeps his roots anchored in Madeira, where he transformed a former nightclub into a seven-story personal stronghold on the Funchal waterfront for US$8 million in 2015. From the rooftop pool, he can see the Atlantic waters he grew up beside. Inside, two gyms and an indoor pool match the rigour of his mainland estates, but this home is steeped in sentiment—his mother and brother reportedly live there full-time.

When his career took him to Juventus in 2018, Ronaldo set up camp in one of Turin’s most coveted enclaves: Strada San Vito Revigliasco. Perched high above the city, his twin-villa compound combines glass-fronted modernism with fortress-like privacy, tucked behind dense trees and a winding gated drive. In Cascais—a Portuguese Riviera town long favoured by royals, tycoons, and Hollywood stars—Ronaldo may have outdone himself. Built between 2022 and 2023 on a 2.47-acre plot in the elite Quinta da Marinha community, the £22 million (about US$30 million) mansion may be the priciest home in the country. When Ronaldo moved to Riyadh in 2022 to join Al Nassr, he and his family kicked things off with a month at the Four Seasons, also known as the Kingdom Tower, taking over 17 suites and reportedly spending around US$300,000. Their main base was the 4,000-square-foot Kingdom Suite, a duplex on the 48th to 50th floors, with high ceilings, sweeping city views, a media room, private office, and chefs on call.

Dubai’s Jumeirah Bay Island—known locally as “Billionaires Island”—is the latest pin in Ronaldo’s global property map. Reportedly completed in 2024, the waterfront mansion sits in a man-made, seahorse-shaped enclave accessible only by a private bridge, where residents include Saudi, Israeli, Angolan, and Russian billionaires. While the price remains undisclosed, sources peg it in the tens of millions of euros.
