“I don’t come up with a design and then force the materials to adapt to it – I design around the materials,” says Dublin-born designer Arran Frances Evans. A glance at the beautifully constructed Iona bag (£790/RM4,283) confirms her extraordinary knack for seeking out structure and sumptuous materials. Smooth Italian bovine leather comes finished with rose gold-plated hardware, with a fully detachable matte rubber strap that can be worn across the body or draped over one shoulder with an air of fuss-free glamour.
