The Silver Lockit, inspired by the unpickable tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients’ most precious belongings, is a symbol of protection
French fashion house Louis Vuitton has unveiled its new playful collection of Silver Lockit (US$250, RM1,055) bracelets. The five-piece collection signifies a momentous collaboration between the brand and UNICEF, aimed to provide humanitarian aid to young victims of the ongoing crisis in Syria.
The conflict in Syria is in its seventh year and has become the largest humanitarian and displacement crisis in the world since World War II. Within Syria, nearly 6 million children are in need of assistance
UNICEF’s support to children includes: providing safe water and sanitation services, healthcare and essential nutrition, cash assistance to families and the distribution of clothes and blankets during
the winter months
By purchasing Silver Lockit Colour, clients will contribute critical funding to UNICEF- supported programmes for over 9 million children inside Syria and neighbouring countries; the cordan blue bracelet is also inspired by UNICEF’s colour
The bracelet is available in five colours, and the team’s at odds as to which is their favourite. Regardless, for every bracelet you purchase, US$100 (RM422) will be donated to UNICEF.
