 An industrial facade that belies colourful treasures within

A new building resembling a box, with its sides opened at an angle, stands on Miyuki Street in the Aoyama district of Tokyo, home to the newly unveiled Miu Miu store.

With an industrial facade and an angled steel-panelled canopy revealing only a sliver of the store’s glass front, Miu Miu Aoyama beckons the curious.

Inside, the 720sqm interior couldn’t be more different from its minimalistic exterior. The combination of reflective copper walls and rich green brocade provides a feast for the eyes, while expansive chairs encourage visitors to linger. But first, peek under the canopy to enter.
