Scents of Jade

Bulgari imagines what the ‘diamond of the East’ would smell like

In its latest La Gemme Imperiali eaux de parfum collection, Bulgari’s master perfumer Daniela Andrier finds his muse in jade, the stone of the gods and emperors. The three fragrances – Splendia, Irina and Desiria (RM1,598 each) – represent three types of jade. Despite each featuring a distinct blend, they’re tied together by one common note.

“I chose magnolia oil from China as the iconic ingredient to structure and connect the three fragrances. Just like jade, magnolia is tender yet strong, delicate yet powerful,” says Andrier.

Splendia, inspired by green jade, is a blend of narcissus absolute, iris, woods and oak moss. The purity of white jade is the soul of Irina, which contains white neroli, white peony, jasmine petals, sandalwood oil and musk. The rare purple jade imbues the sensual Desiria, which is scented with rose petals and tuberose absolute. Each is bottled in elegant flacons with their respective jade slivers and toped with the iconic golden fans of the Bulgari Diva jewellery collection.
