Bulgari’s new Carbon Gold timepiece

Adding some stylistic sizzle to summer, the new Bulgari Carbon Gold timepiece celebrates the season with a casual-chic aesthetic that pairs the namesake precious metal with carbon and calfskin. Within the carbon resin–coated steel case sits a dial decked in a choice of black, brown, or ever-popular blue, accented by pink-gold-plated hour markers. Luminescent dots tip each indices for clear indication of date, hours, minutes, and seconds – even in low-light situations.

To leave a lasting impression, the manufacture’s name is etched around the bezel and, on the side of the case, the numerals “1884” (the year Bulgari was founded) are engraved on an 18-karat pink-gold plate – material that also comprises the crown. And refreshing a classic, the strap is of the same distinctive weave pattern as the Bulgari Roma watch from 1975, a model of which only 100 examples were made. Rather than using hemp as before, however, braided calfskin leather now completes the look.
