Techy TAG

The recent opening of the new TAG Heuer store in KLCC was also the stage for the local launch of the Android Wear-based Connected Watch, following its world debut in the Big Apple last November.

The Connected Watch (RM6,400) is the result of collaboration with Google and Intel – a first for the Swiss watchmaking industry. A full range of connectivity options is the result, typical smart watch functions including activity data, alerts and applications are on hand but as TAG is first and foremost a timepiece manufacture, the hands and hour indexes are visible at all times even when the display is in energy-saving mode.

The titanium-heavy 46mm-diametre smart watch can display dials based on TAG Heuer’s Carrera collection; for further individuality, customised dials by brand ambassadors can be found on the Google Play Store. Special attention was paid to aesthetic integration, application displays are confined to the three counters at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock specifically on the chronograph dial.

To get the most out of their Connected Watch, TAG Heuer offers a dedicated platform at tagheuerconnected.com for the latest features and partner applications.
