The Franck Muller Vanguard Harimau

By Vishal Bhaskaran | December 09, 2016

Roaring might

Honouring Malaysia’s 60th year of independence in 2017 is a special motif on the dial of the latest limited edition Vanguard: the ferocious countenance of the Malayan Tiger. Found on Malaysia’s distinctive coat of arms as pillars to the shield, the tiger was chosen to take pride of place front and centre to thoroughly capture the essence of the nation’s Diamond anniversary. Below the jaw of the beast is the date display, while the appliqués numerals are curved at their tops to perfectly surround its circular relief.

This piece is among many others from Watchland that features at the Sincere Fine Watches 100 Complications Exhibition, which runs to the end of the year, and comes in a selection of three case materials. Two titanium versions (RM38,821), blackened and brushed, are limited to 28 and 38 pieces respectively, and the third, seen here, is an exclusive pink gold proposition (RM91,355) limited to just 18 pieces.
