The More You Wear This Panerai Watch the Better It’ll Look

Brown & Bronze

Some watches are best kept pristine and perfect, while others are meant to proudly bear the scars of adventure. Panerai is most definitely in the latter category, and few timepieces wear patina as gloriously as the bronze-cased Bronzo watches. Found irregularly since 2011 in limited runs that were eagerly snapped up by collectors, the latest edition is the new Panerai Submersible Bronzo (RM61,900)—and, unlike its predecessors, is available as a regular collection.

The 47mm case, complete with trademark crown guard, is as handsome as ever in brushed bronze and reassuringly weighty at 161g. For the first time, it is mated with a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel. The dial is brown, which, especially when combined with the leather strap, makes for a monochromatic watch somewhat evocative of sepia-toned photograph. The watch comes with an additional green rubber strap for taking the Submersible into its natural underwater environments—it is, as usual, a professional diving watch with a rated depth of 300m. The icing on the cake is the 72-hour power reserve offered by the P.9010 manufacture calibre.

The new Submersible Bronzo is available exclusively through Panerai boutiques and online platforms, as well online men’s fashion store MR PORTER.
