SIHH 2018: Panerai creates a bespoke tribute to Galileo Galilei

By Kenneth Tan | January 20, 2018

Time in Tribute

The year 2018 for Panerai serves up a tribute to Galileo Galilei, with the 50mm Luminor 1950 Moonphases Tourbillon Equation of Time GMT. This timepiece is a truly bespoke proposal by Panerai with every timepiece configured to measure solar time based on a location of the owner’s choice. This, plus a host of other customisations; hands, case material and even type of finish – enables one to own a truly bespoke timepiece, the first from Panerai which integrates the moonphase and tourbillon in a single piece. Its indicative price of €199,000 (RM960,000) is based on a titanium case, with modifications expected by its prospective owners.
