Combining function and fun with the new Slim d’Hermes GMT

Quirky font notwithstanding, functionality is the star in this latest GMT offering from Hermes

There aren’t many GMT watches as stylish as the new Slim d’Hermes GMT, which combines svelte proportions with a functional complication tempered with the maison’s playful interpretation of time. Its smoked sapphire glass casts a dark allure over the slate grey dial which has the signature Slim d’Hermes numerals dotted all over.

Apart from the hours, there is one subdial for the date and another for the second time zone where the numerals seem to have been scrambled. Home and local time can be easily read, aided by day/night indicators. This 90-piece edition is cased in palladium and is paired with a matte grey alligator strap with blue stitching.
