Three new designs join the Audemars Piguet Millenary collection

The adventuresome lady who desires a different sort of class in a wristwatch might be interested in the Audemars Piguet Millenary collection.
Different it is, for there is much less of the expected order found in these timepieces. The ovoid case is actually one of the more subtle dissenting aspects. The off-centred dial is likely to be noticed immediately, along with the offset hands on that dial, as well as the asymmetrical roman numerals. Seconds are counted on their own subdial, which is blessedly round and relatively centred. The overall themes — off-centredness and asymmetry — lends a jaunty charm to the watch. At 40mm, they are quite large for a women’s watch, making them even more likely to stand out.
The Millenary collection has been around since 1995, but last November, three new executions debuted during Dubai Watch Week. Two of them come with handmade “Polish” mesh bracelets, one in white gold and one in rose gold, and both have diamond-studded bezels. The third has a frosted gold finish, previously found only on the Royal Oak. The movement for all three is the hand-wound calibre 5201.
