The Tag Heuer Carrera Heuer-02T

Hot on the heels of its 2015 concept, comes the production model of the Carrera Heuer-02T (RM58,300), proudly unveiled by Tag Heuer during March’s Baselworld. In this family of manufacture chronographs, the realised carbon flying tourbillon adds an avant-garde riff on an imperious timepiece. These credentials are augmented by the 21-day-long Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres (COSC) certification, which guarantees chronometre-like precision of -4/+6 seconds on an average daily rate.

This accomplished movement requires hand-crafting by four watchmakers – with human intervention also required on fitting, assembly and adjustment all of which occur in the modern workshops of Tag Heuer’s. When the 32mm-diametre is finally encased in a 45mm grade 5 titanium case, the timepiece becomes a shock-resistant, lightweight piece of art. In view of blacked-out watch trend, a treatment on the 250-piece limited edition Black Phantom (RM77,850) proposes a black dial of grey Superluminova, with a black titanium-carbide coating on the silvery-looking titanium case.
