A first look at Sir Richard Branson’s Son Bunyola Estate in Spain

Sunny Mallorca in Spain is the definition of Mediterranean charm and Son Bunyola Estate in Mallorca is the definition of idyllic. Near in the enchanting town of Bunyola, sandwiched between the scrubby hills and the arrestingly blue sea, the Son Bunyola estate has now returned to Sir Richard Branson’s hands, and through Virgin Limited Edition, transformed. 

Two stunning holiday villas – Sa Punta De S’Aguila and Sa Terra Rotja – are now open to guests, set within the Son Bunyola finca – traditional farmland cottage estates – which dates back to the 1800s. Surrounded by vines, citrus, almond and olive trees, the gated estate is over 700 acres in size, in a landscape dominated by the Tramuntana mountain range. Sa Punta de S’Aguila, or Eagle’s Point in the local Mallorquí language, is a five-bedroom villa built in the traditional Mallorcan style, with exposed beam ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. Sa Terra Rotja, or Red Earth, is slightly smaller, a villa of four bedrooms at the edge of the estate, just a short walk away from a beautiful pebble beach. Both villas come with a full suite of amenities, including heated swimming pools and plenty of space to bask in the brilliant Balearic sun.

Sa Punta de S’Aguila is rented out from €21,825 (RM98,675) for a seven-night stay, while Sa Terra Rotja is priced from €17,460 (RM78,945) for a seven-night stay. Including in the stay are all drinks including wine, beer, spirits and Spanish sparkling wine, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a reservation at a local restaurant one evening. A concierge service will be on hand to attend to any whim to may come. The villas are available for rent all year round.
