As the opulent centrepiece of the newly opened resort (its first guests arrived in April), the gleaming property is a prime example of the elegant Moorish architecture which distinguishes this private sanctuary on an island famed for its idyllic, mythical character.
As might be expected of a masterpiece dreamed up by world-class designers and architects including Bill Bensley, Gensler and GA Design, the Drawing Room is characterised by polished marble floors, an antique European silver-leaf mirror and candelabra chandeliers. Its inviting interior is one of the first things you’ll see of the resort when you’re welcomed with a cocktail served by your St Regis butler – though you’ll no doubt return for afternoon tea and its attendant glorious treats.
